Evaluation Question 5

How would you attract/ address our audience?

To complete this question i decided to create a survey and discover what the public thought about my opening title sequence, i wondered if it attracted them and whether they'd watch in in the cinema.
creating a survey was easy, and since its anonymous, its a great way of getting honest answer,so i know what people truly think and where to improve for next time.

From my results i found out that 3/4 people surveyed would watch my sequence if it became a film. From seeing these results its clear that the majority enjoyed my media product.
So to attract an audience I'd make an exciting trailer that's similar to the opening title sequence. This is because the people that enjoyed the sequence would be influenced to watch the film in the cinema, therefore attracting an audience.

Evaluation Question 6

What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?

Evaluation Question 7

Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in progression of it to the full product?
Since the preliminary task I've learnt a lot of useful things, right up until the end of my media product.
I learnt the importance of sound in an opening sequence, getting the right sound or music can really make a media product, no matter what it is. When the sound doesn't fit it changes the mood and general tone and can challenge the conventions of a product. It can stop the audience from realising the genre or message you're trying to get across. From learning this about sound,  it helped me with my final film as learnt that only using non diegetic sound worked better. I was unable to experiment with diegetic sound when working on the preliminary task.
Since the preliminary task I've discovered how important credits are to a title sequence, after analysing other media products, I learnt where credits should be placed,  in what order they should be placed and how the colour, size and design of them can add to a media product, and help to stress its genre.
The media products themselves are very different. During the filming of the preliminary task I found it difficult as I had hardly any experience. I wasn't good with planning or accomplishing the idea, but because of all the editing, planning, research and filming experience I've gained since, i was able to make the opening title sequence a lot better and it turned out to be more success than the preliminary task. Meaning I've progressed well over all.
